Natural Shampoo Bars

Natural Shampoo and Everywhere Bar

Sunrise Showers’ Shampoo Bars, http://www.sunriseshowers.com/Shampoo_Bar_p/shamp... , are formulated to gently cleanse and nourish your hair without stripping off the natural, healthy oils. They generate loads of fluffy lather, and the all-natural, detergent-free ingredients will not irritate or dry your scalp.

In addition, use them EVERYWHERE! They are wonderful facial soaps and you will love using them on your entire body. Moisturizing and never drying. Very convenient if you travel, work out at the gym, or camp. No more need to take a shampoo, conditioner, facial bar, and body bar. Simplify your life --- just take one shampoo bar with you and use it for your entire body. Easily passes airport security checks.

Karen J. tells us: “I work out at the gym and used to carry around a bag full of soaps, shampoo, and a conditioner. Stuff leaked and my bag was always a mess. Now I take one shampoo bar and use it for both my hair and body. At first my friends thought I was crazy, but now I have to buy your shampoo bars for all of them! Thanks for such a great product.”

Most commercial shampoos are over 90% water, with harsh detergents, degreasing agents, synthetic and artificial ingredients, sodium laurel sulfate (SLS), preservatives, and other stuff. SLS is used to generate volumes of lather to make you think that your hair will be clean. Sunrise Showers’ Shampoo Bars are made in small batches with 100% food-grade vegetable oils --- the same oils you would find in your kitchen and use for cooking. They are all “Gunk-Free”. And they are environmentally friendly --- no more plastic bottles. Sunrise Showers’ soaps are biodegradable, great to take with you when hiking, camping or pursuing any outdoor activities. Being conscientious and not contributing to rainforest destruction and its consequences to our planet, our products are all PALM OIL FREE.

Through effective and enticing advertising, commercial shampoo companies have consumers thinking that a large volume of lather equals clean hair, which is not true. Commercial manufacturers incorporate SLS into their shampoos which will produce a lot of lather, but at the same time it draws moisture out of your skin and can be very drying and irritating. Commercial shampoos can be especially irritating to people with psoriasis, eczema, and naturally dry skin conditions.

When first transitioning from a commercial liquid shampoo to our all-natural shampoo bar, it may take a couple of times to get used to it and to get rid of any built up residue and gunk from other products. Continue using the shampoo bar, and after a couple of weeks you should see a noticeable improvement. The natural oils and sebum in your hair and scalp will not be stripped away. Your hair will be cleaner, brighter, softer, and healthier.

Occasionally you may want to apply an Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse after you shampoo your hair to remove any mineral build-up, especially if you are using hard water. (Mix 1 Tbs of Apple Cider Vinegar with a cup of water and rinse your hair with it.) Kind of a funky smell, but it will quickly dissipate. And it is all-natural!

Jerry T. tells us: “I was skeptical at first and only bought one bar of the shampoo bar to try it. I am happy to tell you it is one of the best things I have ever purchased --- it works as promised. I was so impressed, I bought a bunch and gave them to all my kids and friends. Now they are hooked on your shampoo bar. And it lasts for a long time.”

Guide to using a shampoo bar:

1. In the shower or sink rinse you hair well, making sure it is thoroughly wet.

2. Moisten the soap and just rub the shampoo bar directly onto your hair, working your way from the scalp down to the ends. Alternatively, some customers like to rub the shampoo bar between their hands to generate a lather in their hands, then massage this into their hair.

3. Continue massaging your scalp and hair until the lather is dispersed throughout.

4. Rinse the shampoo out of your hair as you normally do.

5. Enjoy how soft, silky, clean, and healthy your hair feels.

Store your shampoo bar on a dish or soap saver that keeps it out of the water so it is allowed to dry out between uses.

For longer lasting bars, or to share with guests, our large shampoo bars can be easily cut in half. Take a straight-edge knife (not serrated), and just push the knife down and through the soap. Do not saw it. Use one half now, and keep the other half for later use. Note, due the natural glycerin in our soaps and no artificial hardeners added, you will be able to slice our soaps very easily, with no cracking or breaking.
