This is a FANTASTIC Facial Scrub (when applied gently) because the edges of brown sugar grains are more "rounded" than sea salt gains, so it is less aggressive, but will still do a wonderful job of gently removing dead skin cells, impurities, and excess oils, and will leave your pores open. Lemon Orange Brown Sugar Scrub is specifically made with dark brown sugar as opposed to light brown sugar because the dark brown sugar has a higher molasses content (6.5% vs 3.5%). Molasses is moisturizing and will leave your skin feeling velvety, smooth, and silky. Molasses has nourishing minerals including calcium, manganese, magnesium, potassium and iron which are necessary for healthy skin.
And the secret blend of other nourishing ingredients? We have no secrets, we tell all. This scrub also has coconut oil, that for thousands of years has been used to prevent dryness, and is soothing and antibacterial. Avocado oil and apricot kernel oil will nourish your skin and not be greasy. Shea butter soothes and repairs dry, damaged skin. Castor oil easily penetrates and moisturizes your skin. Dark brown sugar has a soothing aroma that helps promote relaxation.
7 oz. of skin care bliss in a wide-mouth plastic jar, easy to get out, and easy to re-close and store for next time. Our recipe is formulated so that any separation of the oils from the brown sugar is minimal. If oils should separate, stir the oils and sugar together.
Can be used all over your body, though apply it gently when using on your face. Avoid using on open cuts. Rinse off with water. If using in shower or bath tub, floor may become slippery due to the oils in the scrub.
